F.A.Q

1.
Why is it that we must pause at key position ON for
a while before
cranking?
This is because your Power Check unit needs to measure battery State
of Charge first before
proceeding with further checks on CPI and Alternator charging. Skipping
the first check will
cause inaccuracies. It is good practice to give a pause before cranking,
your vehicle also
needs some time to complete its own system check. |

2.
Why is it the Alternator indicator blinks when I closed all my power
windows simultaneously?
This happened when the car was stationary at a traffic junction.
When the car is stationary,
your alternator does not work as hard. Mechanical devices in your
vehicle require high
electrical power. Closing all your power windows at the same time
causes a sudden drop
in voltage, especially at the end of operation. This activates the
alternator indicator. The
indicator should go off once you release the buttons or when your
car moves. |

3.
When I crank my engine, why is it the Battery indicator stays on
for a
while before the CPI checks shows OK?
The sudden drop in voltage during cranking causes the battery indicator
to activate.
How long this indicator takes to go off actually shows the recovery
time of your battery.
Either your battery capacity is small, the alternator takes slightly
longer time to bring the
charge back up OR your alternator takes a while to charge back the
battery. |

4.
I have connected all cables according to circuit diagram provided,
but
the Power Check unit does not operate, why?
The black wire, with the fork terminal, must be attached to an earthed
connection on the
vehicle chassis. You may either look for a point with existing earthed
terminals or use a
multimeter to check continuity. |
