APRIL 2009 - INTERVIEW WITH POPULAR CAR MAGAZINE

Good
Morning, I had a quick look at the website before
our meeting, seem like the Power Check has
something to do with car batteries, is that right? |

Yes,
a very good morning to you. Fundamentally yes, and
more. Let me use our product statements to better
explain our product. Lets first talk about "To
the last spark" patented technology. This patented
technology
allows you to maximize the use of your battery. Unlike
most professional analyzing equipment that compares
your battery to fixed, rated values, Power Check compares
actual power values from your vehicle measured
before and after crank to determine the life of your
battery. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
Does
this feature operate like the fuel gauge of a battery?
So how does it maximize battery usage?
|
| |
|
| HID: |
You
are absolutely right about it operating like a battery
fuel gauge! As mentioned, most professional analyzing
equipment will tell you that your battery is weak
when it goes below rated values. However,
depending on the required cranking power of your
car, this 'weak' battery may well have many more
good
months of use. So what we mean is that you're able
to use the battery almost to the end of its useful
life,
yet be assured of not crossing the line and being
stranded. Definitely saves the environment, your
money
and time.
|
| |
|
| Editor: |
Doesn't
the battery sign on the instrument cluster display
tell you that battery is a problem? |
| |
|
| HID:
|
Of
course it does, but chances are its too late. It's
a post-mortem rather than a diagnosis. Notice that
we
keep emphasizing POWER, because that is exactly what
Power Check measures, not just voltage like the vast
majority of devices out there. Voltage and Current
are inseparable; they influence each other, so both
values
must be considered for accurate diagnosis. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
What
other benefits does this function bring to users?
|
| |
|
| HID: |
Glad
you asked. This function also allows you to tell if
your replaced battery is too small (capacity wise),
also too old, since batteries have a shelf life and
the 'fresher' the better. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
Lets
move on to the next function "Service alerts
for sustained efficiency". What is this feature? |
| |
|
| HID: |
This
feature essentially monitors the health of your vehicle
charging system. The charging system includes
the alternator, fan belt, regulator and battery. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
Why
is it important to monitor the health of the charging
system? |
| |
|
| HID: |
Most
people don't realize that a weak charging system decreases
the efficiency and performance of their
cars. Let me give you two examples.
First, if you have a faulty alternator that is not
producing enough electricity, fuel consumption and
on-board
electronics performance will the first victims. This
is because the alternator therefore needs to work
harder
to keep up with the demands of the vehicle. This takes
its toil on your engine, which needs to work harder
(increased rpm) to drive the alternator.
Second, if your battery is old (sulphated) and no
longer able to hold charge, the alternator needs to
work
over-time supplying current to maintain battery charge
level. The effects would be similar to the first
example. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
So
is this the reason why old cars are less efficient? |
| |
|
| HID: |
Cars
are basically a mechanical masterpiece driven by burning
fuel using electricity. Therefore the electrical
condition of your car plays a fundamental importance
in efficiency and performance. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
So
this product is not only about preventing breakdowns. |
| |
|
| HID: |
Oh
definitely not! Actually we have people telling us
that they have breakdown service support and do not
need Power Check. I would say, yes that's great, but
would you really want to be in that situation and
be at
the mercy of inflated replacement costs and incompatible
replacements to say the least. What about risks
and inconveniences, hey I myself have been there before.
Now with Power Check in my car, peace of mind
anywhere I drive. Apologies, needed to do my part
in marketing, but Power Check has a crucial place
in every
car. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
Any
final things to add? |
| |
|
| HID: |
Well,
I would say that the Power Check is a technical instrument,
built to the highest standards and yet
provides straight forward alerts to drivers on the
vital signs of their beloved vehicles. |
| |
|
| Editor: |
Thank
you for your time. |
| |
|
| HID: |
Sure,
appreciate the opportunity to share. |
